If Rita did as you are suggesting, I want her nowhere near the team(s). If she'll frick over her own father like that, who's to say what she would do to the coaches, players, and fans.
But, once daddy gives you the keys to the Lamborghini, and does so in a way that he can't take it back (and there's nothing more he has to really give you), do you still let him tell you how to drive it, who you can date in it, what kind of clothes you can wear in it, what kind of friends you can have outside the car, etc.???

If he tried, I'd sign the title back over to him. Not the same as a multi-billion dollar asset, but in that situation.
And let's not pretend that Rita is hurting for $ one way or the other.

Bingo and the Trust owns the assets with Renee, Rita and Ryan as beneficiaries. Tom Benson does NOT own the assets.
The trustee manages the trust not Tom Benson.
Whoever tried to substitute assets (the teams) in exchange for unsecured collateral in the form of promissory notes at 10% of the franchise value is going to get slapped by the Courts. The Trustee even rejected the transaction.
