Spin-off thread here. With the maid thread yesterday and the lawn treatment thread earlier this week it got me thinking of what tasks I could outsource around the house. Right now I just have a lawn cutting guy.

Lawn Cutting Service $35/visit (schedule depends on time of year)

My live-in butler and maid make around $70k a year. My chef makes $120k. My driver, around $50k.

Oh my gosh. I must say I forgot how much I pay the rest of the staff.

Lawn $30 - I love working in the yard, but it just takes up to much of my time, especially with a 2 year old

Maid $90 every other week...best money spent

How often is that? What do they do to the gardens? It looks like I'm finally about to start building soon and don't want to handle landscaping and such in the new house.

The yard is an acre, and we have flower gardens in the front and sides. During the summer it is weekly, winter not as often (as needed). They maintain the beds, kill/pull weeds, etc.

Make sure you put a border of rocks or something between the edge of the house and the start of the gardens.

Maid $100 every other week
Lawn $30 a visit, $125 once a year to put in fresh mulch, $30 to trim the trees on occasion
$70/quarter for a service to come spray our yard with seasonal chemicals
$300/year for Terminex
$150 for some Mexicans to come put up and take down the rooftop Christmas lights (we do the ground level)

Don't recall the random PM stuff we do throughout the year.
