Take liquid to start working? Do you mean like mucinex syrup?

Are you expecting to be cured of a sinus infection or something?

There's no studies that say it even works.

Waste of money.

Not as fast as behind-the-counter Sudafed.

Mucinex as a brand product is a waste of time because the recommended dose and bilayer (extended release) tablet doses are too low. You can take up to 2400 mg of guaifenesin a day. Buy the generic walgreens tablets in 400 mg (immediate release). Take 800 mg every 8 hr or 1200 every 12 hr. It also only works if you pound water. The only thing better as an expectorant is KI syrup (brand used to be PIMA syrup), but it's prescription.

You do need to up your liquid intake (non-alcoholic) for the mucus thinning effects. Otherwise, you are wasting your time and money.
