Is there any legitimate way to just stream older movies online?

Crackle is free but its mostly Sony owned stuff and it runs the same commercials over and over w/no regard given to inserting them in obvious breaks. I've had commercials start up in the middle of an actor talking

I watched "The Victors" (1963) the other night.

A bit choppy, but interesting. Looks like a typical WWII film, but is quite the anti-war anti-climactic piece, similar to Johnny Got His Gun. Not a "happy/feel good" film by any stretch.

Cast includes: George Hamilton, George Peppard, Eli Wallach, and a very young Peter Fonda.

Or Amazon prime (if you're a prime member, and, if not, I have no idea what you're doing with your life).

Alien is a fairly popular older movie - not sure if it is on free on any of the usual suspects rotation, though.

That's where Amazon.com starts to edge ahead. You know they're not going anywhere. If you choose buy it online, you know you'll have it - accessible to all your devices, forever. And that is if it is not free when you decide to watch it.
