The @PelicansNBA Jrue Holiday expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks. Tests reveal Holiday developed a stress reaction in his right lower leg.

2-4 weeks until the surgery announcement. We'll get out from under Gordon's contract and still have $10 million in dead cap space with Jrue. The worst part is he looked like the one new piece you could see keeping the next 10 years.

Bye Jeff, looks like we'll be forced to cash in Withey and a 2nd for what's likely a vet PG rental.

If anything, I figure it would give Monty some leeway.

This shite is really getting old.

Yep. He'll be sure to point out that his team is young, and still trying to learn to win. And he's forced to be coach without his starting PG.

No.

ETA: Nevermind, same leg, but a different part of it.

I'm not saying it isn't but they haven't been specific outside of ankle. The ankle and the lower part of the Tibia would be the same area. I honestly don't know which would be better, a truly new stress fracture in a different part of the leg, or reopening of the old one.

I'd imagine keeping him out until around the ASB or so.

I was going off what one of the BSS guys said on the twitters, implying that it wasn't the same issue that he dealt with last season.

If it's the same one acting up, just shut him down for the season unless we're less than 3 or so games back of the 8th seed come four weeks.

In the past I would've thought the same thing. But now, I get the feeling that he's gone by the end of the season regardless. Now it's just a matter of when. So, losing Jrue=even more frustrating basketball and losses which will hopefully mean a firing happening sooner rather than later

I'm not a doctor so it may not be, but I can see how Tibia and Ankle would be the same thing, especially when you're trying to be intentionally obtuse in a release about news you don't want release.

I'd rather sign Jordan Farmar for the season.
