Leo Lewis Question

A lot of you posters on here think we have a very very good chance to get his commit. Where is the confidence coming from? Is it because we get the final visit from him before NSD or is it something else?

Steele recruited him at Bama and I think they have a good relationship. He lost all 3 of his position coaches at his final three schools with Chavis leaving so maybe Steele being at a school in his Top 3 helps us. LSU is also the closest to home I believe even though it's in a different state. Think I read he grew up a Tiger fan as well. There's a lot of variables here. Word is there are a few silent commits right now and I wouldn't be shocked if he was one.

U have any idea who the silent commits are? If so pm. Thanks !

Man why do people ask these questions?? A silent commit means no one but maybe a and I mean a staff member knows, especially if they are OOS. Anyone can say, Jamal is one, Leo is another, so was Jackson, and Key. Anyone can say this and it mean nothing lol

I hate the phrase silent commits.
Pretty much means nothing. They can change minds and we will never know the truth. After the last few years these guys who do silents just want to tell the coaches what they want to hear to relieve that pressure. Then go to school they really want.

He will be hard to pull from Ole Miss as they have apparently offered him a starting position the moment he steps on campus.

Not far fetched for us to offer similar. We need help there

If I were recruit's parent, this kinda stuff would throw a red flag for me. If you're supposed to be a good program these promises shouldn't be made imo. Seems shady

It's not a big secret that Lewis and Peters both like LSU in a major way. The Steele hire helped a lot on the Lewis end so it's not that far fetched to say that a strong visit just before NSD would push us over the edge. Jamal Peters is in the same boat.

The in-home visit by Frank Wilson right before the dead period.

I may be wrong but I believe coaches tell certain players to remain silent about their commitments so they can use them to go on other visits and opposing coaches have no clue that he's working other players hard behind the scenes. Then when these “silent commitment” announces on national TV it's great publicity. At least that's what I would do with some big time guys.. But… I would want most big time recruits to commit early to start the momentum.

Wasn't Tony Brown supposedly a silent to LSU last year? Meaningless
