I think we all agree that this would be a great thought.

Unlikely.

I don't see him leaving ISU anytime soon. He signed a 10 year contract two years ago. It has a relatively small buyout if he leaves for the nba, but I don't see him going just yet.

His name comes up pretty often when vacancies arise. I'm sure he's gotten offers. We'd probably have to offer him the SVG package. Lots of money, control of roster, head coach. Still not likely

No way. Just offer him the 6/22 Stevens got. More than doubles his ISU salary. Don't hand the franchise over to a guy who has never coached a single nba game.

He was on track to be a GM before he took the job at ISU

And I'm not saying that's the best option. Just what it may take to pull him away from ISU at this point. Apparently it's his dream job. All his family is there, makes enough money, hometown hero, etc

I doubt he leaves ISU for awhile, he has young children at home and being with them probably is most important, as it should be.
Hate to see his son raised with all the hardships Austin Rivers went through.

Is he from Louisiana?

Because Avery and Joe D are.

Clyde Drexler is from Louisiana as well and he has HC experience.
