I wasn't just impressed with the passion the fans had (that was expected) I was also impressed with the atmosphere around the stadium before and after games.

St. Louis is the best baseball city and arguably the worst football city not named Jacksonville.

I can't argue with St. Louis being the best baseball city. If anything, any other team would be 1a to St. Louis. There are a ton of great baseball cities out there though...

Boston
Philadelphia
Baltimore
Milwaukee
Detroit
Cleveland
San Francisco
Los Angeles
Minneapolis
New York

But Selig's proclamation is troubling for one simple reason: St. Louis baseball fans already deem themselves the "best fans in baseball" and have no trouble reminding others about that. Now they're going to be feeling themselves extra hard.

Many baseball fans in other parts of the country will tell you Selig's opinion doesn't mean much and he can kick rocks come Jan. 25 when new commish Rob Manfred takes over. Cardinals fans, however, will have no problem reminding us of Selig's parting gift for years to come.

Brace yourself, people in every other MLB city.

What a fricking butthurt arse clown.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again now:
St. Louis fans did not proclaim themselves the best fans in baseball. That was all the announcers and call guys back in the 2000s.

And oddly enough, I never hear a St. Louis fan actually proclaim the fanbase as a whole the best fans in baseball. In fact, the only time this comes up is if a mizzoukills gets on here and trolls the frick out of the malcontents on this board or when some malcontent gripes, without provocation, about St. Louis fans "self-annointed" best fans in baseball moniker, which, again, is horseshite.

And really? It's "troubling?" This guy is a fricking joke.

In any case, I can tell you it sure as shite isn't Houston. frick. This place needs a kick in the pants when it comes to baseball.
