Why is the guy just sitting there filming away instead of gunning his car and running for his life?

Looks like that jackass caused it by sitting there.

What about the jack-knifed semi in the middle of the road in the beginning?

He had plenty of room to go forward and get further out of the way; guess the video was more important.

I'm confused as to why he didn't move his car forward (he had room).

I wonder if the ice was unexpected, usually they're pretty good about salting the roads in Jersey. Glad I don't have to drive on the NJ turnpike anymore, it's the same shite that happens on 10/12 everyday.

I don't think pulling up 20 ft would have a damn difference in the world.

Sometimes the difference between life and death is a few inches. He had plenty of room to pull up if he wanted to....not just 20 feet.

I had that happen driving on I65 out of Gary Indiana in a snow storm - looked in my mirror and the 18 wheeler behind me was sliding length wise across all lanes of the interstate - luckily he got it straightened out - cause i had nowhere to go.
