Luckily when you have these players who play at these mega basketball high schools, they come to college well prepared. Take Jalyn Patterson who got lost in the mix at Montverde... He comes here and has been a double figure scorer as of late for us.

These teams play the best players in the country weekly and really improve and gain experience from it. Simmons may struggle early on because he's so use to being able to get to the rim with ease, but only time will tell. He should be a great player.

Thing that impresses me the most about him is his basketball IQ. He knows how to play without the ball.

Wow do we need that.

If Johnny's coaching MO to this point continues this way down the line, we'll need to get self-motivated kids that already know how to play and on do what they are told, when told for example "quit shooting 3's early in the shot clock, , or quit trying to dribble between 3 and four defenders, or - block out," etc.

Thon Maker is better but Ben is a close second

I am down on Thon being what people keep trying to project him to be. He can't play the perimeter at all. Nothing wrong with that but when projecting him to be a 7 foot KD is the norm, I am bit skeptical. Not saying he can't be the next KG though which is still amazing.

Best HS player since Lebron. There hasn't been a guy his size that can handle the ball, pass, and shoot like that. He doesn't shoot a lot now because he doesn't have to but just wait until next year

Ben is good..but he isn't the best HS player since LeBron...You know who Kevin Durant is right? about 5 other guys I could name off.

Those guys didn't dominate HS or HS Summer Circuit the way Ben does. That simply. Will he be a better college or pro player, not sure. But nobody his size has dominated the HS game since Lebron. Sure some shoot first guards have but not bigs or big wings.

Any chance we bring back the super sophs, and make a run at the final four with him here next season?

Durant, Howard, Rose, Oden, Paul, Maker, Wiggins, Kyrie, Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis.

By no means a shot at Simmons, this is more of a compliment.

Ben is better then Wiggins. Minimal difference in athleticism and explosion but Ben is soooo much more refined. He really is a PG in a 6'10 body. Unreal court vision. He's like what would've happened if T-Mac ever really gave a shite about basketball. Just insane all around domination.

We can only hope.
