Can an MBA teach undergrad college classes part-time (marketing, mgt, speech)?

I remember when I was taking undergrad classes at LSU we'd fairly often have some 30-something or 40-something business dude teaching our Tuesday night marketing class. You could tell these swaggy bros were mostly doing it for kicks, maybe getting out of the house, being able to interact with some 18 year old chicas, and make some bunse on the side as well.

Hell, I even remember that in my grad studies we had some fellow MBA's teaching us in the earlier classes (albeit they seemed to be working towards their doctorates at the time).

I am looking for a new hobby or avenue of self-improvement and my previous goal of learning a foreign language just isn't doing it for me. I'd even be willing to teach at some shitty community college or online if that's an option. And if it's unrealistic I suppose that would be good to know as well so I can move onto a better idea.

Thanks

Contacting the school you got your MBA from seems like a horrible idea.

I'm not one of those people who puts it in their title or something if that's what you're implying.

If they ask why you want to be teaching students, it's imperative that you tell them

it was useless for about 9 years and now it's finally started paying off. literally for the first 9 years I had it I had decided to take it OFF my resume, then all of a sudden it's started helping me immensely. I feel like now that management and executives are retiring it's opened more opportunities for a younger batch of dudes in my age range.

Sweet - I wonder if you just peruse online ads, call your grad school and ask for advice, etc. I feel like it might be one of those "chicken egg" dilemmas where I've never taught before so it might be tough landing an initial gig.

Accreditation will likely require 18 graduate hours in the field you are teaching and a masters level degree. Accredited business schools will want a graduate degree in field from an equally accredited school.

Thanks - I actually remember seeing that in a job description I found in my area...

So if I was a marketing undergrad and took as many marketing/management classes as I could in MBA (general MBA from Loyola, steered away from Finance, Acctg as much as I could during my MBA studies because I'm an English/sales/management type guy, not an analytical/math guy) I wonder if that would hit the 18 hours in Marketing or Management?

Yes. Can teach Intro to business, marketing, management, at least 200 level and below.
But what the colleges really need are economics and accounting teachers and they require 18 grad hours in those subjects.
In fact, if you know any with the credentials, send them my way.
