Looking at planning a week long vacation to Destin this summer. This will be my first time to Destin as we usually stay in Orange Beach. What are some recommendations for condos in the Destin area based on your experiences? No kids on this vacation, just me and the gf.

Go to Panama City Beach instead. Way less trashy.

Traffic is an absolute nightmare in the Summer. We got a place right across from the racetrack but I go play some golf in SanDestin. I like it and would probably go there.

Does no kids mean eating out and having fun every night or being lazy and just chilling on the beach all day and going inside and passing out?

Stayed at Crystal Villas a few times and really liked it. It's in Crystal Beach close to Henderson State park. Crystal Beach doesn't have the high rise condo buildings so the beach is never too crowded. There are only 27 units so it was really quiet and the unit that we stay in is on the ground floor and very close to the beach. We always booked it through VRBO.com. The owner allowed us a discount for paying in cash so we didn't have to pay the 11% tax.

Destin is way to damn crowded, big kahuna is fun but holy hell the people!

Keep driving until you get to Blue Mountain or Grayton Beach.
