I'm beginning to think it could happen. Frankly, given the alternative of the status quo, I'll take it. At least he may have the capability of pulling out a few wins in a row.

It's funny that everyone wants Dell & Monty gone, but don't want Avery Johnson, when its very likely that Joe Dumars and Avery Johnson will be hired when Dell and Monty are gone.

My #1 reason why I'm against Avery is his most ardent supporters think this is an impressive resume.

I'm going to repeat what I said in the last thread on this topic:
We can't afford to give another shitty coach a clean slate where we have to wait for him to prove he sucks. I would rather keep Monty with his shitty track record knowing that he's piling up evidence of his suckage than bring in Avery and ensuring that we will suck for at least 3 more years.
Even if Avery sucks less than Monty, he still sucks and we can't afford to botch this next hire. It will likely be the last one we make before AD sees true free agency.
An Avery Johnson hire here would be catastrophic for this franchise. Much worse than keeping Monty an extra year.
