Anybody have a lead on who makes or sells these? I'm looking for one to catch or drain water from a small duck pond to more easily regulate the water level in the future.

You know, the ones you put a 2x12 or two in, then you have to cut them out after the season once the wood has swollen with water and sealed off?

I can't even find pics of one on the internet so I assume I'm way off when it comes to what these things are actually called.

Yeah, but the pics are of ones on big reservoirs. This is a small iron box about 2'x2' and maybe 3 foot tall, with a 5 foot 8" diameter pipe sticking out the back to run under the levee.

you talking about a culvert with a bracket on one end that you can slip 2 x 12's or whatever down to dam it up?

I know what you are talking about. Saw them in rice fields before.

This is close, but instead of the holes where it says "collector" its just slotted so you can add or remove a 2xanything to set the water level as you desire. Then you would add piping to the back to get it under the levee and out the back side.

I may have to have one custom built...

Yeah. The one on our old lease was made of iron.

You're talking about a riser.

ETA: just get a piece of pipe, cut it in half and attach some channel to the front and voila you have a riser.

Most farm and/or irrigation stores have control structures. At least the ones around here do. You can get one at the Ag Supply in Rayvegas

Yall call stuff different down there. Up here a riser is the pipe sticks ground and shoots water out. AKA a well head.

There's the magic google word!

Who makes these? Ours on our old lease was solid iron sheet metal, but I've seen these like 34 mentioned and pictured above.

Clyde is a fancy dude and reeks of dollar bills. I figure this is for his crawfish operation and he only wants the best.

There's a guy in Eunice that makes them for rice farmers. Coastal Culvert LINK. I had him make some PVC ones for a project I had once. He can make whatever you want.

Nevermind saw above post. That's still no riser. That's a pipe pumping water.
