So, the last 2 games, he has played big minutes without fouling out. I have been wondering why. Is it defensive rhythm? Does he take on the role of hacker as the 4th big? Are refs not calling as many ticky tack fouls on him?

What say you?

Joel kept talking about how Toronto would prefer shooting 3s to driving, which is what we saw for the most part, so that played a role. I also wonder if he's improved his athleticism some. In a few recent games this year he's displayed some nifty footwork to move down the lane and score that we hadn't seen before.

He didn't start either game.

He's a very solid big that I wouldn't mind giving minutes to if he could keep his fouling down. He's given us a nice spark since AD has been out.

My boy straight up hates on him over and over and over... Needless to say, watching yesterday's game with him was pretty fun for me! We don't win that one without Alexis

“He’s a prime example of a guy who’s continued to work on his game,” Williams said. “When his number was called, he was ready. Coaches have been telling us in our meetings that Alexis has been killing it. He’s been playing well and we’d love for it to continue.”

Not exactly related to fouls, but Ajinca has never worked this hard on his game. When we rescued him from Europe one of the quotes I saw was how he told fellow Frenchie Rudy Gobert to work hard and not take being in the league for granted like he did. This summer he said was the first time he participated in a team's offseason program. I'm sure he worked out at home before, but it's not the same focus and intensity.

Anderson needs to watch out as Ajinca comes for his minutes.

Asik ain't going to lowe his minutes with his ridiculous rebound rate.
