I'm not ignoring the rushing. Even with rushing included, I don't think he had a top 5 season.

His personality is, yes

Dude uses every cliche possible in the book

"total team effort"
"110 percent"
"we competed hard"
"we fought for 60 minutes"
"we have overcome so much adversity"
"everyone counted us out"
"I did it for my brothers"

Pro athletes can't win. Wilson is careful not to say anything, he's a phony.
Richard Sherman gets interviewed 20 seconds after making the biggest play of his career and he says what's on his mind, he's a thug.
Marshawn Lynch doesn't want to say shite to the media, he gets fined.
Let those guys live their lives. None of them are hurting anyone. Wilson wants to say cliches, cool. Sherman wants to boast about being the best corner in the NFL, cool. (Because he is)
Lynch doesn't want to talk, cool.

This thread just proves that people need something or someone to hate. Russell Wilson is the flavor of the week.

Brees lost arm strength and doesn't make as any good decisions with the ball anymore.

He wasn't anything special this season.

He led the league in passing and was a top the league in completion percentage. His interception rate is not horrible unless you are criticizing some of the other playoff QBs.

The Saints throw a lot of short passes and passed more than any team in the league.

Brees literally threw the ball 3 more times a game than any quarterback in the league. Of course he threw for a ton of yards.

Drew had a good year statistically. He just threw a bunch of picks.

Yea, his decision making this season wasn't that great.

He had 5 guys better than him in quarterback rating. Luck was right behind him, and did more with less talent around him.

Wilson's rushing numbers put him above Brees for me.

Brees had a good year, but he wasn't elite.

After last nights game, I'm starting to wondering if Luck is asked to do too much for that team.

He still was high in the league for yards per attempt.

They definitely are. They're asking a third year starter to attempt 38 passes per game. He needs help everywhere - run game, receiving corps and defense.

He was like 7th or 8th in the league.

Brees feasts on short passed that inflate his stats. Teams know he can't beat them deep anymore, and with his increasing INT bug, they just give up the underneath stuff and wait for him to make a mistake.

Sorry, it's true.

Wilson's numbers are amazing for just his short time in the NFL.

but they aren't

thats the thing 255 yards a game counting running isn't amazing.

Clearly Phony isn't the right word, but he is about to get like 20 million a year, and then you have to wonder if they will be better off paying him when they have no money for MArshawn Lynch

The fact that they have no running game is a huge red flag to me.

As far as receivers go, Reggie Wayne is on the tail end of his career. Hilton is pretty legit. But Indy needs someone on the other side of him.

Similar to the Peyton Manning situation [Except Manning has better talent around him].
