You could replace him with Vince Young, and the Seahawks are still a playoff team. Dude is barely asked to do anything and rarely cracks 250 yards per game. The Seahawks are who they are because of Lynch and their defense. Please stop the Russell Wilson slob fest. He is a phony. Like someone said, I can't wait for his salary cap to destroy this team next year. I am perfectly fine with the Seahawks not winning another Super Bowl for a few decades.

So being 6-1 as a starter, having a 61% completion percentage, 12 TD to just 5 int(4 coming yesterday), 1789 total yds and a passer rating of 96.3 is being a phony..... If anything, the people who are hating on Wilson need to be the ones to stop with the obsession. Wilson's numbers are amazing for just his short time in the NFL. Only going to get better.

Same people who anoint Manning the greatest year after year.

The point is even JaMarcus Russell can put up those numbers on that team. Wilson is nothing more than a glorified game manager and nothing special, but for some reason some folks are enamored with him.

on the flipside, could any qb put up brees like numbers in a payton system? could jamarcus russell throw for obscene amount of yards for the saints?

Wilson should get credit for all the shite he doesn't do, such as getting fat and lazy like JaMarcus.

Young couldn't make a clutch throw in OT like Wilson did yesterday

Those numbers seem pretty damn good for the first 3 years of a QBs career.

If anything I am more impressed with Wilson after yesterday. Most people would have wilted after having one of those "Murphy's Law" type games, but he kept playing hard and ended up winning it for them.

The fact that he didn't quit after getting beheaded was amazing enough to me.

You are underestimating his importance.

Being a Bengals fan, I think if you switch him and Dalton, we instantly turn into a SB contender instead of guaranteed 1st round exit.

In fact, besides the run game, Seattle's offense isn't near as talented as the Bengals IMO.
