Not Saints related but thought yall may be interested since we got slammed for some stupid shite. Lets see what becomes of this......

Breaking: A league source tells me the NFL is investigating the possibility the Patriots deflated footballs Sunday night. More to come. I'm told at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it. Should hear more tomorrow on this subject.

Didn't have a chance to talk to Colts officials about this. They were long gone when I heard this.

Nobody is suggesting this is why the Colts lost, obviously. They were manhandled. Told if a league investigation confirms deflated footballs it will result in lost draft picks. Stay tuned.

Ol Bill Belicheat at it again. Maybe if the Saints equipment staff deflates the game balls we can climb back to prominence.

ETA: They'll probably just lose a 7th round pick.

Even if it's true, how in the world is a deflated ball going to help anyone? Seems like that would just get carried away in the wind.

Much easier to catch a slightly deflated ball.

Depends. Perhaps that team deflating the balls had better practice with such ball.. Etc..

Good, they will lose a draft pick or two and that will destroy them like the Saints. Oh wait, they lost a first rounder during bountygate and have managed to make the playoffs like 12 years in a row. What kind of excuse will saints fans come up with now?

It's true, though. Also, I thought goodell was Kraft's buddy. I guess he will give them a break, then? It's like people on here can read minds thru their tv.

I don't think saints fans 100% attribute the current state on bountygate. We made the playoffs a year after. But you better believe suspending a coach with a team capable of competing in 2012 was major. And if you don't see that, not sure what to tell you.

At least a handful of people here attribute that to the saints downfall as of recently. It doesn't help, but that's not a major factor.

I will be eternally pissed off about bountygate, but won't use it as an excuse for 2014.

Apparently the Colts never got the memo that defaulted balls are easier to throw and catch. Didn't Blount run for 150 yds and three tds too?

Roger Goodell is in Bob Kraft's back pocket. There is NO way he's going to hold the Patriots accountable for anything. He's an asswipe hypocrite and a great reason to stop watching the NFL.

Honestly, even if it is currently against the rules, it shouldnt be.

Other than messing with the surface of the ball, you should be able use whatever nfl size ball you want on offense. Thats whether its flat as a pancake or hard as a rock.
