I've had a pair of finger-less gloves for a while but just used them for the first time on trout this weekend. Even though they are designed for sun protection, they did an excellent job keeping the wind off of my hands. I ended up with a mess of Speck's and kept the gloves on.

I've cleaned them multiple times by hand with different detergents and they just came out of the washing machine. I can still smell them from across the room. I have no problem cleaning the gloves from handling redfish. I would rather store my gloves inside with my fishing clothes/hats/PFD/etc and not out with my fishing gear. Is there a secret to cleaning clothes that got speck slimed?

Cover 'em with baking soda and thrown them in the freezer overnight.

Leave them outside for a while. Always works on anything smelly I've ever tried

Put em outside where you can't smell them.

Vinegar. When i clean a mess of fish I always use gloves. They always stink bad and vinegar seems to do the trick.

fwiw, putting them outside and letting the funk wear off is the only thing that I have found to be effective...

however, be careful where you put them, as I have had cats chew holes in my shite before when doing that...
