You don't think the Packers had a great game plan today? They were up double digits as road dogs. Halftime adjustments were made by Sea, but that doesn't mean GBs game plan wasn't good.

They were up double digits because Seattle had five turnovers.

They had a +3 turnover margin and lost. That's all on the coach.

McCarthy started playing pussy ball a few minutes into the game and it carried all the way through. I wouldn't want that coaching my team.

You wouldn't want a Super Bowl winning coach coaching your team? That's not very smart.

He's certainly not worthy of being let go, but damn, his career would be totally different without Rodgers.

I don't know how he managed the GB job to be honest. SF had the 32nd ranked offense before he left.

He was the OC in New Orleans when they won their first playoff game in the 2000 season with Aaron Brooks at QB.

Aaron Brooks. Let that sink in. Aaron Brooks.

No doubt that 3 possessions deep in Sea territory early, and only getting 6 points was killer.

And I agree, I think he should have gone for it on 4th at the 1/2 yd line

Anyone that thinks his seat should be anywhere close to hot is clueless.

That's just NFL conventional wisdom/dogma talking.

What makes him so untouchable?

If your opinion is "Look, I think he's a good coach and he has what it takes to get the Packers back to the Super Bowl and nobody out there is likely to do any better" like Henry Jones Jr. posits, fine. That's defensible and I can disagree while allowing that the opposite position has merit.

But if your argument hinges on "Well, they made the NFC title game and they win a lot in the regular season and things like that just aren't done", well, that's not a defensible argument.

Now, as it stands, there's really nobody out there at this date that I honestly say would be an upgrade over McCarthy and even if there were, the Packers would never can him at this point. However, to say his seat shouldn't be warming up is silly. Why not?

I retract everything I said. McCarthy is the GOAT! Well, he should at least be the OC for GB

Coaches I'd want over McCarthy, at this minute:

Belichick
Carroll
Harbaugh
Tomlin (maybe)
Payton (maybe)

That's about it. I think it's too early to say for sure about Pagano and Arians. I'd take 2010 Coughlin but not 2014 Coughlin.

Exactly. Dude is a top 5-10 coach and some on here think he should be fired

Yeah, lets fire him so the Packers can hire Todd Bowles or Jim Tomsula instead

I would take Pagano and Arians over him (I think) but he is still top 6-8
