On Saturday, Marshawn Lynch had every intention of wearing the gold cleats you see above in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Packers. But once the NFL got wind of his plans, they contacted the Seahawks and threatened to eject him from the game if he wore the non-sanctioned footwear.

They should if does it. He was warned multiple times and he knows what he can/can't wear.

if you kept watching the segment or reading about it, they said they'd just prevent him from getting into the game until he changed his shoes.

I swear Lynch is such a moron. You're so good at what you do, but you can't even fricking follow the rules? Hate players like that.

It is the rules! He keeps looking to push the league by breaking them. This is not his league. He has made it to where they watch him so closely. He is becoming very annoying. Just play the game and quit trying to be such a punk.

to be fair, it's a stupid fricking rule. most of the time they'll just fine them after the fact for the wrong shoes then their sponsor will pay the fine.

threatening to eject then threatening to not let him in the game over a pair of shoes is stupid.

It's a uniform that his employer tells him to wear, I don't see a problem. I can't where shorts and flip flops to meet presidents of companies.

His employers (the Seahawks) probably don't care if he wears them. A better analogy is that he's working at a shoe store that doesn't care what shoes he wears. He wears sandals to work one day and the Better Business Bureau tells him to wear tennis shoes.
