In the pilot episode the Jeff parish coroner says she moved to Louisiana and it's gotten in her blood. She could never leave her tigers as she now bleeds purple and gold. That sorta started the LSU Bama jokes. Since then the Bama thing is part of lasalle's persona.

If you have a PhD, why do you converse in this thread like you have a GED and live in a van down by the river?

You kids need to grow up. Talks between schools is what brings in the viewers. When that show was mentioned here in Montgomery, the show received excellent reviews. Some of the cast members appeared live on one of our tv stations. The stars had positive things to say about New Orleans and our local Channel 8 in Montgomery had nothing put positive things to say about the city.

When the Lasalle character was originally written, he was supposed to be Cajun, hence the French last name. Black couldn't get the accent right in rehearsal, so he suggested making the character be a Bama transplant living in NOLA.

In real life there are a ton of people moving to NOLA from out of state. Many young people from all sorts of states and colleges. I work with two guys one went to bama the other auburn. Both grew up in mobile. Good guys, we crack on each other all football season long. The character in the show is totally believable.

Now the REC is buying off television writers. I bet they have a lot to do with the scheduling time slot too.

Your fine government is paying big money to have these shows made. Don't dare try to take awaybthe golden goose, though. The little man in charge won't have any of that
