Maybe you never fully understood why a lot of people hated Ingram.

He's finished in the NFL. Apparently he doesn't want to play football any longer.

He's like Ricky Williams...but he's not any good.

No. Like everyone says here, RB's are a dime a dozen these days but we haven't had a 1000 yard RB in the last 9 years. We got this, it's a piece of cake.

Ingram was, what, 60 yards shy of 1000? AND he missed some games. I bet we try hard to keep him.

Deuce was our last 1000 RB in 2006. I just find it funny that a lot of people here think good RBs are a dime a dozen. It's 2015 folks. And, if Ingram stays, which I doubt he will, he won't be as good as last season. He only played hard when ivory was kicking arse, end of the 2013 season and last year for his contract.

Ingram missing games has been part of his problem. Lack of durability. He has looked good at times. I just don't think the saints will pay as some other team will offer.

He ran really hard last year too. It wasn't just his contract year. He didn't sniff 1000 last year because he never got the chance to carry the load the way he did this season. Plus, as you said, he had some issues with durability. I still say Loomis busts his arse to make a deal work. The deciding factor may not be the Saints, it may be Ingram's desire to find a situation where he's not sharing carries.

I agree that he may want to leave, but I don't see him playing with heart, like his contract year. If he stay, I wish him the best.
