Except it's not Mardi Gras. From what I hear, bands of gangs are mugging tourists left and right with impunity.

I thought there was vigilante groups out there helping all the innocent white people out?

They already quit?

I wouldn't call them gangs. Just punk arse little thugs robbing folks.
The mayor is begging for some troopers until police build some numbers back up, which may or may not happen.

And yes Troopers always in town for about two weeks of Mardi gras

Might as well make them work for their 20% raise, better for them to patrol the streets than sit behind a desk

They better not let the thugs kill the golden goose.

New Orleans is an amazing and completely unique place to visit, but as soon as word gets out that even the tourist areas are no longer safe that money is just going to flow to Charleston, Vegas or any other number of safer destinations.

Good. The NOPD can't keep up with attrition and patrols in the city have been non-existent. The thugs have taken notice and they know where the money is (FQ, Uptown, and Garden District). Go take a look at nola.com. Armed robberies in the FQ and Uptown have almost been a daily occurrence the past few weeks.

It's ok. NOPD has confirmed that only drunk people get robbed. The FQ is safe.

This is pretty true. The fact that these thugs know the NOPD response is bound to take 45+ mins, it's pretty much open season on tourists.

Apparently increased crime in the quarter may have been a factor in the city losing its most recent Super Bowl bid.

I can testify.

I hope they fricking kill every last one of them. Or frick that. I hope they imprison every last one of them and send them to super rape jail.

Total bullshite. The uptick in FQ crime really only started 1.5 months ago.
It has been way worse at times in the 80's and 90's and didn't stop superbowl bids then.

Other cities put some way better $$$ bids in and the NFL is also big into award SB to cities with new stadiums, etc.

LSP did away with the plain clothes detail last year.

It's all uniform details now.

Like stadiums with no roof where it's freezing and about to snow. Makes no sense to me why any stadium where it's cold would have this
