Didn't say that very well. I meant once you're on Magazine why walk 4-6 blocks back to the streetcar when you can walk the same distance down the street and find more good places to eat, especially if you have more than one Magazine Street stop on the list. They will have already paid for a day pass to use the streetcar which also works on the Magazine bus.
I guess depends on how you plan it.

Dante's Kitchen - Escargot with marrow
Cote Sud - Mussels
Delechaise - Pomme Frites
Columns for a drink, because, well, you can't do a streetcar hop without going here.
Avenue Pub - Beer
Herbsaint - Gumbo w/ a small plate
Yeah, that is a solid list. I would also add Boucherie - Boudin Balls.

quote:Yes and why??? Most places are a couple of blocks or less from st Charles.
Do you streetcar? This list seems a little off base.
quote:5ish but am open to suggestions on making this work better. Wouldn't mind hitting one or two places on the way there (maybe columns and a restaurant) but mostly working my way back to CBD.
What time of day are you starting? And I assume it will begin in river bend

Yep. I've felt the rate of poor streetcar planning after 10PM.
I planned on doing a weeknight (tie, we'd or Thursday) but keeping everything closer to 1 block is prob a good idea to start.
Agree with the magazine comment.
