Yeah, I really have to go there next week for work. I hear Juarez is a quaint town and great this time of year.

I see there is a doubletree downtown El Paso but currently is sold out. Sort of desperate to figure out if there is anything worth a damn.

Walk the streets pushing Mexican people around, talk shite about the cartel while grabbing your penis.

El Paso is consistently ranked the safest city with a population greater than 500,000 year after year. Stay at the Camino Real it's downtown around everything and very close to the doubletree. The doubletree is my go to hotel in El Paso before I started living here. The Garden Inn UTEP is indeed also nice buy I would rather stay downtown than on the west side.

The Camino Real is a nice place with a good location downtown.

El Paso really isn't that bad of a city, I love it. If you stay downtown you can walk to Juarez (it's not that bad during the day) go to the Kebtucky Club, a cool bar about 2/3 blocks into Mexico.

You're also close to Big Bend Park of you're in El Paso so if you have free time go there.

Oh, if you're drinking in a bar in El Paso and someone walks in selling tacos buy some.

Its been a while, but there used to be a naked place called something like Excalibur off of I-10 on the west side of town. Executive Blvd maybe? It was pretty awesome 15 years ago.

I've also ventured to the dark side of multiple US/Mexico border towns. Juarez is even shittier than Tijuana - and that's saying something.

I will take a look at the UTEP hotel. I normally always like staying places where I can walk to bars/restaraunts etc. I would assume it being next to a college, that there are places to go near there.'

ETA: apparently every nice hotel is sold out on Tuesday night

It's closer than most people get but it's still 300 miles and takes 5 hours each way.

Correct, but go anyway. I've been three times and am glad for it.
