My perhaps mistaken understanding is that she is from Lakeview, maybe the grandfather had some money, she went to Mt. Carmel, her sister is the NOLA Realtor GiGi Gaubert Burk (at whose offices Jen once kept a law office), she seemed to dim the lights on her Facebook page at the start of this scandal, and when I checked a few days ago, was back online. Her retreat to Thibodaux was probably only at the first peak of this scandal. Maybe the fresh limelight will drive her back underground again until the media storm blows over.

Regarding Brisbi's, it opened for the first time around 2013, on the land formerly occupied by the old Hong Kong Chinese restaurant and the old Acme Oysterhouse/Amberjack's. IMO -- better than the Blue Crab a few hundred yards away, plus bigger portions for cheaper. And overall a better-designed setting.
