feel it is only merciful to give ourKnicks beat writer, Scott Cacciola, a break from such woeful basketball. He deserves to see the game played at a higher level. For the next month or so, we would like to point him to some good, quality basketball, wherever it may be. Any suggestions?

Well, he probably won't find much of that in the NBA.

I bet these guys don't even like basketball. The "NBA is bad basketball" people almost never do. Truth is they see the NBA's thugged out image from the 90's when actually it's not at all like that anymore. And they're too biased to see the NFL is where all the murderers are rapists are now playing ball.

The annoying thing is that outside of OKC, majority of the high level teams play beautiful basketball nowadays.

I grew up watching and playing basketball. I love basketball. I just cannot get into NBA basketball for the life of me. I have been trying hard to get into basketball and been trying to become of a fan of the Pelicans, but it hasn't happened for me yet.

You like basketball, just not basketball played at it's highest level?

Didn't everyone? That doesn't mean you automatically like basketball.

In terms of intensity, the NBA is not the highest level of basketball. The NBA has a lot of talent, but quite frankly, its boring.

So you only care about intensity? Go down to your local church league and you'll see 40 year old fat guys panting pretty fricking intensely and trying really, really hard.

Is this referring to the NYT people? Because I feel like they were just making fun of how bad the knicks are.

So we shouldn't expect the most talented players in the world to play with intensity?

Okay.

This isn't 2004. They do play with intensity. You wouldn't know that because you don't watch it.

Basketball, as a sport, doesn't lend itself to just flat out intensity ALL THE TIME. It's a more cerebral game. It doesn't mean they're not trying but it's not some "rah rah just try really hard and you can do it johnny!" type of game like football is.

Not trying to be a dick but you just don't know anything about basketball and you clearly don't like it. That's fine. No one said you had to, but you should admit that to yourself at least.
