It's clear to all of us, Les, Cam, the entire world he is the most talented qb on the roster...but it takes more than talent to run the show. You have to know the playbook and protections and everyone else's assignments or it will be a few sparkling plays surrounded by a bunch of botched ones.

Harris will have the deciding vote on who the starter is next season and that vote won't be cast on twitter or td.com.

It will be cast in the film room, the practice field, and in position meetings and offseason workouts.

If Jennings is the starter next year it's because Harris voted him in.

His mechanics were atrocious. As long as he stays open to Cam's teaching and watches tons of film he's no doubt the starter next year. His arm talent alone has carried him this far but his mechanics and football IQ will hinder him for the time being.

Agree but never underestimate Les' stubbornness.

I know that and cam needs to change the offense to fit him and to Jennings to a certain extent. Running from under center doesn't serve either of those guys well

I don't know how hard the kid is working, but whatever it is he needs to do more. He needs to be working probably twice as hard as the average CFB QB because most aren't having to run this kind of offense.

If it's close, Les will go with AJ period. Harris needs to leave no doubt in order to get the nod. Hoping he is able to do so, he will be the only NFL talent QB on the roster. Plenty of talented QB's have done nothing in their careers though. Has to be a master of the position. Film/Gym/Field Rat.

Don't know who downvoted you. I think this is spot on.

BH is clearly more talented than AJ. If it's close in practice then that means BH isn't doing enough. Not saying he's lazy, he just needs to do more. Just to be safe, he should work harder than any QB in college. If he isn't doing so, he's wrong.

Have to agree with that Tiger Ryno. Believe they want Harris to win it, but he has to show that he has the maturity and work ethic to study and put in the work. I'll give him a pass for his freshman year, but none this I don't know the offense or assignments after being here a year, and over a year by next fall. He wants to be great, greatness starts in the weight room and with preparation.

Harris is going to have to outwork him and leave no doubt.

Even with that Im skeptical that Harris is going to replace the starter in the off season.

ETA: I also think the best thing Harris could do would be to shut down social media when the season starts.

Hope not.

If so I think that's an indictment on Harris.

This whole thing is about Harris, not AJ. You guys think Miles and company can't see that Harris is clearly the more talented of the two? Harris came on campus and could do what it took AJ over a year to learn. But they aren't going to just hand the job over to him.

They want the guy to bust his arse and work for it. No one ever appreciates anything that's just given to them. They want to see how he reacts to having to compete for the job, which he probably never had to do in HS. If he's a competitor he leaves no doubt in spring training.

I think if they didn't give a damn about his progression they would've just given him the job the first day he walked on campus.

Harris is in control of his destiny. I hope he steps up the job. I have a feeling he didn't do that last year.

Please, enlighten me. Go watch the Auburn game and go watch the practices and please point out where Harris' mechanics and footwork are adequate.

Toss dive left, toss dive right. Pass on third down.

everyone else's assignments

TE's - block every play
WR's- run block first two downs. On third down run a route (two WR on a route, shouldn't be hard to figure out)

Sounds about right.
