Anyone know of a good place on Coursey Boulevard to have this done? I have been to Skid Marks a couple of times for things (oil change, tire rotation) and they seem a bit pricey. Any suggestions?

Why are you going to change the diff oil? Only reason to change that is if you got water in it or have more then 100K in miles.

Wrong, sir. Does he tow? There are a lot of factors that go into it. That said, it is as easy, if not easier, than doing an oil change.

I have over 60,000 miles on the truck but it seems lately that my drive train is slipping a little especially when you stop and go. I haven't towed a lot with this vehicle mainly just hwy miles.

If the trans is slipping, that needs to be checked at a reputable transmission shop and not some quick lube (which are the pits of hell, anyway, and should be avoided at all costs). That is a trans issue moreso than a differential one. I change my differential fluid every 30K myself and it takes 10 - 15 mins at most.

Unless technology has changed, that should have nothing to do with your drivetrain slipping. I could be wrong, but I'm with Fish on this one. No need to do that unless you have broken an axel seal and have water mixed in.

I have over 500k miles on one set of axels and 250k miles on another set of axles. I've never changed the oil in either set, but they are Toyota Land Cruiser axels, not junk.

Are you feeling a little bump when you stop? What type of truck are you driving?

Trannie problem. Have you checked the oil level in it? Make sure it is warmed up. Also, smell the dip stick. If it stinks bad, the oil is burnt no matter even if it still looks clean.

Has far as changing oils in the diff, I never change mine and never had any problems in the last 35+ years.
