Not really a review, but I played it for about 30 minutes before getting annoyed and starting up EU4 instead. Not really sure why I couldn't get into it.

If you have civ 5 it's not different enough to warrant a purchase.

Yeahi played the hell out of Civ 5. I'll wait until it hits the bargain bin.

Since Civ 5 didn't feel 100% complete to me until all of the expansions were added in, I'm going to wait in like manner for Civ: BE "Complete Edition".

True that. It's been likened to a post space victory expansion, but content wise it's underwhelming.

I got it last month on the same sale.
I like it, but it plays more like a heavily modded Civ V than a new game (and I'm a Civ player all the way back to the beginning - Civ II will always be the best gaming experience, I suspect - and along with Master of Orion II - constitute probably the best turn-based strategy games that will ever be.)
