Just loaded up the intro and watched. I will run the final fight on DA:O tonight and then I will be diving into this.

HOLY SHITTY JUMP COMBOS! This game has always loved the combo game, but with flight wings they want you to hold one button to glide, aim yourself up, then hit flap wings to climb but when you hit flap your wings it levels you out before flapping. It's early but this may render the game unplayable for me.

This series just pisses me off. It has been all down hill since Saints Row 2.

I'm kind of surprised you were excited about this game. It's basically a rehash of the last game in a new "city". 4 was a good game though.

No it's not, but it's stripped down, no bouses for near misses and the like. You only get to play Gat or Kenzie, this is not your normal SR. Once you get past the flying tutorial flight isn't that bad, you also need to know green orbs give you stamina which they don't tell you during the flight tutorial. It's fun so far, but I am almost 20% and the game has already been beaten.

Right and people loved GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas because they were exaggerated yet grounded in reality. GTA 4's more serious tone was one of the reasons why so many considered it to be such a borefest.
Saints Row 2 was the perfect blend between ridiculousness and seriousness.
The series started jumping the shark with Saints Row 3 and Saints Row 4 was just laughable, making it almost impossible to care about what is going on as you're constantly under a barrage of fourth wall breaking BS.

I loved IV, too. Easily my favorite game of the series.
But I also loved the Prototype games as well. Give me Superpowers and you have my interest.

Just finished it in 4 1/2 hours with 61%, it was good but not great. The collections quests aren't as annoying as the past games (hated play in traffic.)
