Two men set out Wednesday to complete a vertigo-inducing, skin-tearing, 3,000-foot climb up the sheer face of the granite rock formation known as El Capitan using only their hands and feet — a feat never before achieved.

I know Alex Honnold has free-climbed El Capitan before, just not that route.

Can't link the video, but there is one out there of a guy who free climbs the Eiger. When he gets to the top, he jumps off as he had a special lightweight parachute on his back while climbing. Pretty cool to watch.

pretty incredible accomplishment. When i was at Yosemite and was staring up at El Cap, my friend had his zoom lens and was watching the climbers. I couldn't tell there were climbers even on that thing.
