He might come out this year, sit him behind brees for 3 years and then let him rip!

I am against drafting a QB for at least 3 more offseasons but this is the one scenario I can get behind. Assuming it's in the 3rd round or later. If he has one of those crazy climbs up draft boards that happens to a few players every year then I say pass. But, if he's sitting there in the 3rd or 4th then I have no problem. It would be way too much value to pass on. The kid has top 10 ability but has high bust potential.

He is definitely Boom or bust, but is the perfect project QB that wouldnt have the pressure to come in and produce results right away. He can easily come in and sit behind and learn from a good/great QB like Brees, Rivers, Rodgers. To me that would be his best shot if he decides to come out this year.

I was just thinking this last night. I'm not in favor of drafting a QB in the first 3 rounds for at least another year or two, but if this guys falls to 4-6, I would strongly consider it. He is a talent.

I would be on board for this 100%. The thing about New England, they have drafted QB's in the draft, groom them into fools gold and trade them for picks.......This one reason why they continue to be successful.

Also, If Brees feels a little pressure, maybe he play with that fire and hunger he once had!

I think 3rd round is as far as he drops. The guy has more arm talent than half the NFL right now today. He makes every throw look effortless. The downside is I think he could easily be Josh Freeman.

I liked what I saw the last few games, but it's not the time yet. 3 years is too long to sit behind Brees. Then you will only have him starting for maybe 1 year before he needs a new, much bigger veteran contract. The key is to get a guy like either Aaron Rogers or Russel Wilson, who can learn fast, seize their opportunity, and step up and perform insanely well as a starter for a couple of years while they are still on that economical rookie deal.

Unfortunately for teams in our position it's become the new model for the NFL.

Im going to avoid posting my opinion on this particular subject for fear of backlash about black QBs. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Can't really go of racist at QB and percentage of what Black Qb ' s have won superbowls. NFL had majority white qb 's until the 80's, within the last 15yrs the Black QB has been on more teams. Now me on the other hand I really don't care about black or white qb I just don't care for a scrambling QB it doesn't work in the NFL. R. Wilson scrambles when need but mostly scrambles around the pocket to extend the play instead of taking off. He reminds me of S. Young alot smart, scrambles when only needed, and is a team leader.

I prefer a pocket passer and leader.

Waren Moon could throw like 80 yards. That guy had an arm.

Drew Brees can throw half that far and won a Super Bowl.
