And those who don't change will fall behind.

But Ohio St turned the ball over 7 times in the last two games. Les Miles would have benched those butter fingered kids.

Such bullshite.

All LSU needs is a senior NFL ready QB, a NFL RB, and two NFL WRs and the offense would be right there in the middle of the pack.

I don't really see much evolution there. It looks different but is essentially the same formula where Ohio State just blew Oregon off the ball and won the lines of scrimmages. The only difference is they start in the shotgun so the qb can read the defense easier.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the pumpers will take that as a dig toward Les Miles and his top rated offense. Oh wait sorry that was last year and only last year. Well the pumpers will still find a way to berate you for daring to question the all knowing and powerful Oz, oops my bad I meant Les.

Yeah we are stuck running a 1980's offense as long as Miles is HC, he doesn't have the CHEST or WANT to do be as smart as Gary Patterson and actually see the evolution of the offense in college and adapt to it.

Dadgumit, Bo Schembechler taught Les Miles that the way to win championships is to play great defense/special teams and to have a ball control offense. I know Schembechler never won a national title, but if Bo says it, Les is going to live it.

Ohio State runs an old school inverted Veer option from the shotgun. They'll tipicslly go 3 wide. But eberythings looks like a "spread" to these morons.

Pretty much. It still involves dominating the line of scrimmage, running the football and winning time of possession. Which is what we try to do.

Our problem is that the QBs are unable to consistently complete passes, not the scheme.

I'd say it's partially scheme and partially players - no way we get a third stringer able to play that well so quickly. Something scheme wise either isn't easy enough or doesn't put the guys we recruit in position to make the plays. At no point other than a couple of drives against a&m (and whose offense doesn't look good against their d) did we look remotely as well run as Ohio states did with their third qb.
