Everyone I know who made it out of law school says it isn't worth the time and effort... it seems like the only thing to choose if you didn't have it figured out right out of school. Is it just me or are there too many of them practicing criminal defense trying to collect on frivolous criminal defense cases for slip and fall "victims"?

I originally thought based on what others have said when I was out of under graduate school that it would lead to nothing but high priced dime hookers, blow and fast cars.... everyone I talk to now out of school says it is more like mayonnaise sandwiches, slightly less appealing hookers with STDS, and a huge workload for a lot less pay. Maybe the overall moral is slightly down with the influx of too many people trying to fill too few spots after they get out of law school...

What says the OT? Just enough lawyers in Louisiana or not enough?

This would depend on the type of mayo.

Don't work in LA so not sure. However, the practice of law is not what it used to be. A lot of firms are top heavy and the barriers to making partner have increased IMO. I am interviewing for an in house spot right now and really hope I get it. Big increase in salary and no more billing hours.

Perhaps you're not the one to moderate this type of discussion.

I'd much rather bust my arse for 4 years in engineering than waste 3 years of time in bullshite law school.
