Considering a 3" gun for ducks. Pros and cons from those of you who own one?

Why would you limit yourself to 3"?

Your wife did.
Just kidding.

I went and looked at the sbe and the sv a couple months ago. Went with the sbe because I couldn't reach the safety on the sv. Just something to consider.

Why not the Super Vinci?
Have the Super Vinci and absolutely love it.
Actually have both the SBE2 and SV. The SBE2 hasn't been shot by me since I got the SV.

Don't like the bulker / heavier 3 1/2" guns.

It's 2015 no way i'm buying a shotgun today and not having the option of 3 1/2". Future invites to possibly hunt geese, turkeys, and buckshot for deer would just be insurance paid up front

Then you want a SBEII

I respect your opinion but I barely like shooting 12ga guns because they are often bulky. Most 3 1/2" guns feel like a fence post to me but YMMV.
Most of my shotgun work during the year is with either a 20 or 28ga (upland).

I have a SV and now wish I had the SBE2, although I very rarely leave my Beretta at the house unless I know that I am going on a mostly goose shoot.

I don't consider a 6.9lbs 12 gauge to be heavy.
ETA, it's lighter than the SBE2 and only .1lbs heavier than the regular Vinci.
and 3/4 inch longer.

Interesting. I might need to handle both.
I typically don't like the feel of 3 1/2" guns but perhaps if they are the same it would work for me.

If you're gonna spend that kinda coin might as well have a gun that will handle everything you want plus especially if you aren't picking up a bunch of weight and bulk.
The SV is definitely thicker than the SBE2 but the SBE2 is shorter.
the difference is the action on the SV. I think it's amazing personally.

I got a Vinci 3" when they first came out and really enjoy it. The action is still as smooth as it was out the box 5 years ago. I've used it for Ducks, geese, and turkey and have never had the need or want to shoot 3.5" shells. Recommend
