1. Are you hearing multiple names or just one?

2. And, assuming the name(s) you are hearing come to fruition, would you rate the hire as:
A. downgrade from Chavis
B. about on par
C. upgrade from Chavis
D. upgrade, fappening-style

3. If (D), do you gather there is a HCIW element?

Thanks and I'll hang up and listen....

There aren't any in-the-know guys this time around. Miles, the LSU AD and TAF have got it on lockdown.

1. One

2. Between C and D. That's gonna vary based on who you are and how you view Chavis and the new guy. IMO Chavis was good but with an Achilles Heel flaw. All guys have some kind of flaw. This guy is very good.

3. IMO, no HCIW.

Key phrase: 2 and 3 are "opinions". YMMV.

right now we've just got a list of people being incredibly vague on the hire, so much so that they can pretty much say they were right no matter what happens.

This.

Everyone is acting like palm readers in the French Quarter. Intentionally vague so they can't be wrong, but still make people think they know some shite.

Exactly, so I'm trying to do a little separating of the wheat from the chaff.

If the name is the same as Hanny's supposedly big name he heard last week, then it'd be an NFL guy who was a DC this past year in the NFL, and also have college experience in that position.

I'm hoping there is more than one option here and Les has to just wait until the NFL musical chairs stop, then take the guy standing.

I sure hope we're not waiting on only one guy -- because he'd have to be a strong candidate to stay in the League.

then you'd have to believe a good bit of people know.....and no one has talked. How likely is that?

I've just seen one too many people hop on the "Oh yeah I know too but can't say either." bandwagon

The less we hear about it, the better the hire will be IMO. It's on lockdown.

charles hanagriff has no information. whatever he was told was told to him so that he could talk and change the tone of this search. Prior to his "leak", the LSU program appeared to be in the midst of chaos and confusion. Now, the tone is more positive and people are off of Miles' back.

That is the only reason that Hanagriff talked. Even if he was given a name, it was only done to change the tone of conversation.

I'd agree.
