2 weeks ago it was green and luscious. Went to pick a mess today a lot of it is red and shitty looking.

1)What up wit dat? I'm assume maybe too much water

2) is a turnip green with a red tint edible?

I noticed the Blackmans down the way are redisj looking too...

My fall/winter garden when to shite with a bitter, week-long freeze here in mid November.

Sorry to hear about your greens

I just cooked a mess of turnip greens this weekend. My friend dropped off 2 bunches. They came out great.

That's all I got.

There was that freeze thing that may have played into it.

Well freeze things typically don't do this to my greens. After last nights rain I went and inspected my patch and it's not draining worth a shite. I think I disked it too heavy before I planted and the eye's I have cut to drain water off the patch were clogged up. I think it's a classic case of too much water due to neglect due to hunting season. I was able to get enough for a mess last night though, and they were right tasty.

Just call them Turnip Reds and you're good to go.

Oh and Mustard Greens > Turnip Greens...

drain a bit, toss a bunch of triple 13 out and just sit back and watch.

It was pretty damn cold for a long time last week. I bet the freeze was too much on them.
