I kind of feel like DCCW is quickly burning through storylines

I figure by season 5 & 3 of The Flash there will be some sort of Crisis.

Rumor has it they are going to cut off Arrow after 5 seasons because Oliver was gone for only 5 years. You can bet that the final scene of season five will be the first scene from season one.

Smallville was supposed to be about Clark Kent's high school years.

Went 10 seasons.

Rumor is a pretty dumb sonovabitch. No offense if that's a close friend or something.

they havent exactly said each season is a year. we dont know the full scope of time so far. im sure they are having these talks now since they will probably get renewed for a 5th season barring some sort of disaster.

The two main actors have a fantastic rapport.

I would either like to see WB/DC do the Multiverse movie combing their shows and movies (including the upcoming SuperGirl and Titans on TNT, excluding Gotham) or give a guy like Amell a chance to go on to bigger things(like the MCU).

One of the characters said in season three that Oliver has been back for almost 3 years. The timeline fits.

This. I always assumed season 1's flashbacks were a year and season 2s were also a year but I was doing a rewatch and in the middle of season 2 Slade makes the comment that he has been stuck on the island for 264 days. Not even a year. So they can go well beyond 5 seasons at that pace.

it fits the present but that doesnt mean the flashbacks are moving at the same pace. i thought the creators said they will only be done with the island story when the show ends. the last scene of the show will be oliver getting off the island.

He had been on the island for over a year when the season two flashbacks started. The show makes mention of it. So they were moving at roughly the same pace as the present day scenes at that point in the show.

I seriously doubt Warner has the balls or vision needed to even attempt that let alone actually pulling it off.

I still can't believe they didn't go the Marvel route and have Flash and Arrow connected to DCMU. The setups for the films would have been so much easier that it boggles the mind they couldn't wrap their heads around making it work.

Hopefully they will get their heads out of their asses and eventually combine them all into a Crisis on Infinite Earths type event down the line.

Hell, they kinda sorta have it already set up w/the Flash.
