I haven't watched him since he left but his stats are abysmal. Defense is hard to quantify, so if guys that have watched him think he plays good defense that will make me feel better, but again these stats are abysmal.

One of the reasons nobody wanted to keep Darius Miller was because he didn't do much besides scoring, here is QPon vs Miller per 36 career numbers in Reb/Ast/Stl/Blk

QPon 4.1/1.6/0.8/0.3
Miller 3.2/2.2/1.0/0.5

QPon's peak numbers came 3 seasons ago and he hasn't played much since that because of injury, and before he got injured he looked like he was becoming a useful player, so I'm not totally down on him, but I see more to be concerned about than be excited about with the numbers.

I would say a lot of the thought process in taking him on is giving him a fresh start and hoping he can go back to near where he was a few seasons ago. If he can play good D, then I would imagine Dell is saying you can play Dante and QPon a combined 40 a game and have them focus mostly on D and not have to take many jumpers.

He is not good

I would've rather let Rivers expire instead of taking this dude on for a few more years

Yeah. I've wanted to sunshine pump a bit. But the more I think about it the less I get it. It's a bit perplexing.

You know my tweets speak the truth. Fredette has no business playing over my bro.

Are you trying to convince people that you are a moron? You make a compelling case.

Rivers and Smith aren't better. Q has been better before. To me it's the salary length.

The main thing giving me hope is that Demps has a pretty good track record in these trash for trash flips. If Pondexter could regain the trajectory he was on before the injuries it will probably be alright, but the excitement of moving Rivers faded pretty quickly for me.

That's absolutely a fair discussion, calling Rivers and Smith better players is asinine, though.

Take Smith out of the equation. We have to be cashing him in for a 2nd to use in another deal. There is no reason to include him after we swapped Salmons for Rivers.

If you look at it from a who is going to be off the roster sooner, then sure they are better options than Pondexter

If you're looking at it from a who is a better player for our roster, it's Pondexter no question. Rivers and Smith don't have any business even being in the NBA. At least Pondexter is a NBA bench player caliber guy.
