Kilmer should have been nominated for an Oscar.

Far and away Kilmer's best performance. Him not getting nominated for an Oscar is a travesty.

Even though I was not alive then and none of my family members ever lived out West and I had no role in those events, I am still interested in that time period and enjoy that movie. Very good.

I had the chance to go to Tombstone pretty recently for a half-day. It's pretty damn cool to walk down that street.

As good as Kilmer is, I've always thought Powers Boothe carried the film. He was perfect.

I read up on doc Holliday and the events of the movie and Doc had the illness for like 8 years and the movie condensed the events but every fight scene is just like it's described from the guns used to where every single person was standing. It's a great story and yes Ike was that big a bitch. Doc challenged him to a dual and Ike pleaded not to go through with it so later that day Wyatt just pistol whipped him

The gunfight in that movie was pretty accurate. Close quarters and around 30 shots fired in total.

Fun, entertaining movie that's cartoonish.

I like it, but I'm also the kind of guy who can't stomach movies where grown men dress up as bats or spiders to solve crime.

Stephen Lang as Ike Clanton was better than all of them.

My friends and I could basically recite the entire movie from memory in college. Watching it was a great way to fill that space between classes and drinking.

Not really at all

Tell us about Ringo and doc's historical duel first.

If you like seeing every western cliche in one movie, you will love Tombstone.

One of the only things missed from the historical context was that Doc was shot and wounded during the shootout, however it was not reflected within the movie. Also since first seeing this movie years ago, and reading the actual history of those involved, I remain amazed that Wyatt Earp lived his whole life without having been so much as grazed by a bullet. Truly astounding considering the towns he worked and the lawless time he lived in. He was on the wrong side of some unsavory individuals during his time.
