I do not believe it is poisonous, does not have the viper head. We have a lot a racers down this way but I have not seen this one before, first one in over 6 years.

FWIW, he is about 6 feet up on those bricks. It must have weaved its way up.

Corn snake. Just grab him. It won't bite. Great snake to have around.

Thanks, I do not kill the non-venomous ones. They maintain the acre of land.

100% corn snake. Probably the most common pet snake in america. They eat rodents. Keep him around the house!

So there you have it. You are now in possession of a 100%, beneficial, rodent eating, colorful and rarely seen corn snake or in Latin, Cornus Snakeus.

DO NOT kill it with fire.
Give it the family name and declare your acre a Corn Snake Sanctuary.

I did not kill or bother the snake. It hung out all day on the brick wall. When night came, he climbed down and disappeared. Maybe he will show back up one day.

It's a corn snake. Other names, chicken snake and red rat snake. I found this one in some snake habitat that I have created in my "buffer Zone". Harmless.
