I dont know if testing them on a semiauto would be best though. Maybe Im just having a brain fart
For example, an AR15.
Wouldnt the movement of the bolt carrier, buffer, and buffer spring skew the results essentially making the test worthless. Maybe not worthless, but not anywhere near as conclusive as a bolt gun.

As long as it was the same gun every shot it would still work
