5s won't charge

Piece of shite has been having trouble recognizing the charger for the last week or so. Now it won't charge at all. Dont have a day off until next mext Monday so I'm fricked. Any advice? Tried scraping lint. Gonna try using the actual apple cable when I get home and pray it works

I tried calling support and they wanted to charge me $30 just to chat with em. Are you fricking kidding me. I laughed my arse off and hung up. What a frickin scam. They want you to pay $30 for them to tell you to go to Apple Store and pay $80 for a repair.
I went back and tried scraping again with a little more pressure and OMG u guys wouldn't believe how much shite came out. Works now. Hope it lasts a while

you need a real apple cable or a Mifi cable, if it is actually broken I should be abe to fix it but not sure for how much yet.

Wife had the same problem with her iPhone 5 a while back, and cleaning it solved the issue too. You'd think there'd be less of a lint and filth problem in the smaller port, but apparently the lightning port contacts, seeing as there are fewer of them than the 30-pin design, are highly sensitive and require a near-perfect, solid connection.

The guys on this board tried and tried to talk me out of buying one. I had the S3 and loved it.
My S5 is the biggest piece of shite. Freezes all the time and will randomly restart.
fricking sucks.

I had the same issue on my 5S; it just stopped taking a charge eventually. Brought it to myphoneMD and got the charge port replaced for like 99 dollars

My 5 does the same thing. I shot some keyboard cleaner up there. Fixed it.
