You can certainly make the case that Jerry West has done more for the Lakers than Kobe, especially since he brought in Kobe and Shaq. Hell of a week for a GM. However, I think Kobe had the better career. Jerry West is a borderline top ten player ever though and criminally underrated. The logo may be the only thing from him going the way of Elgin Baylor (recognized all-time great, but sometimes forgotten).

Yeah, he's so alpha that he went buy his lady a giant diamond, apologize with tears on tv, and said "you're the air that I breathe".
He just a guy that runs up and down the court and puts a ball in a basket. He may be good at it. But it's just entertainment.

i hate kobe, always have... with that said kobe is a great player. He just isnt a great team player.

I agree with some of what he has to say, but even in his compliments to Kobe, he seems to be making fun of him or something.
The guy who wrote that is a strange character. I almost feel like he probably covered the team, or another team, and Kobe kind of shrugged him off and he got his feelings hurt.
