Yeah, I honestly think there's not a bad performance in the movie across the board. I almost always watch it when it comes on. Whoopi's transformation from beginning to finish is what puts her over the top for me when it comes to between her and Oprah (and it's close).

And FTR, I saw this performance when I was in middle school and don't think I've used a wire hanger since. It was that damn impressionable.
