Xbox One Headsets around 50-60

Need a headset around the 50-60 dollar mark. Looking at the Microsoft stereo, Turtle Beach XO One and Refurb Turtle Beach XO Four. Any thoughts?
BTW, it is hard as hell to look at video reviews on this kind of stuff because every single one of them is super geeky no girlfriend people.
Don't wanna go super expensive because I will only be using these when the newborns are asleep. I love my surround sound too much for these to be all the time. TIA

I'd probably go with the TBs, but anything in that price range is going to be cheaply made.

Yeah, I know. Just can't seem to spend 100 on a headset that I won't use a lot and trying to explain why I need these to my wife

I bought a pair of XO fours on sale for 79.00 at Gamestop a few months ago for the same reason(new born/ wanted something wireless). They sound as good as my Tritton Pros that I paid twice as much for. They lack the surround sound processor but they are wireless . I highly recommend them. I have a surround sound set up too but with two kids the only time to play is at night. You will probably end up using them more than you think.

Get a pair open air headphones. Headsets are a waste of money.
Also surround sound for headphones is a gimmick, better off getting a nice pair of stereo headphones.

I think I paid like $70 for the Xbox brand and they're pretty legit.

Buy a mic and a splitter assuming you're only using the Xbox One chat adapter. The Sennheiser has a cable with a mic you can get if you want to talk, I think it's $20.
Was thinking you were getting it so you wouldn't disturb your kids. If you want to talk it will be a little extra, but it's worth it considering you're not getting shitty headphones.

They run off the controller. It does comes with the controller audio adapter and a mic. Its bit weird communicating at first because you cant hear yourself talk very well with them on. If you are just looking for stereo headphones and dont need/want a mic any pair of head phones will work. The poster above shared some links. Sennheiser sound great for music not sure about gaming. You just need to buy the controller audio adapter . Its 29.00 buck though so figure that cost in and i would just roll with the TB XO4

I was really surprised at how well the Turtle Beach XO4 sounded. I'm a bit of a headphone snob and have owned some expensive ones but I've been very pleased with their performance. Like you sai tThe surround sound thing is gimmick though since the controller audio adapter is only in stereo. My Trittons that connect to the optical output do a pretty good job of simulation surround sound though

Yep got to get it but it's nice to have around. I've seen it go on sale for $15.
Also Amazon has a bundle for a splitter and a mic for basically $10

I got the MS one for $40. Works fine, but I'm not picky about my audio.

Ive seen these listed around 70 before. I paid 150 for them and they are awesome. You can use them as regular headphones as well since they dont look like you have to be sitting in your parents basement to wear them
