Reports linked him to Sacramento but still nothing. They're not playing very well either. They have a solid foundation and one of the best centers in the league too. Could he be waiting for us?!

He said if the Kings are interested in him, he's interested in them. So I don't think he's waiting on us, but I think our situation is better than Sacramento's. Gotta think he'd be interested in us.

Good coaches don't take jobs mid season. They can't get the assistants they want or have time to put their system in place.

Before people get all mad, it's a joke thread. Need some humor after tonight's debacle

A monkey played with tools for the first time better than Monty running a team.

Even if he is waiting for us, he'll never be our coach because we're too fricking stupid to fire Monty's arse. We will continue to go absolutely nowhere if we have Monty as our head coach.

Interested, yes absolutely. Waiting, no definitely not. He's a smart guy, he can see the administration is afraid to fire Monty

It's happened before. He actually took over in Denver during the middle of the season.

Karl basically lobbies on ESPN to be our coach everytime he talks about us.... the time is now to fire Monty, its clearly evident he's not the right guy for this job

There has to be someone better than Karl out there. He doesn't make sense for several reason, a big one being long-term stability.

I don't know about that resume wise (if you take out Avery), but the trend with the ascending teams of the league is gambling on an unproven assistant, or a former player. Pels may have to try their luck going one of these routes.

George Karl would be perfect for us.

You're entitled to your objections, but damn, I just don't see what you're seeing.

I saw a Denver team whose best player was Ty Lawson win 50-something games a couple years ago - that shite doesn't happen on accident.

This is whats going to happen, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker or going to retire. Pop is going to want a change of scenery, so he is going to resign from the spurs. Then we are going to hire him.

The End

Can someone point me to a quote from Karl where he says he'd like to coach this team, Davis... Something close?

No, because he would never say something like that while the team has a already in place, long-tenured head coach.

But he does rave about Davis to the point of gushing, talks about the Pels a lot, and implies they are being mismanaged.
