Thanks folks!

Now that I know what I'm looking for, I found some at the big Leblanc's on airline. Also tried walmart and the small leblancs but they didn't have any.

My first moscow mule is delicious!!

Had a good selection at Alexanders when I moved away. Where we always got it for the wife.

There are some all natural ones laced in with the HFCS ones

ETA: please quit calling it Gonzo. No one calls it that.

It's not an alcoholic beverage. I think I've seen it at Albertson's. They usually have it around the more expensive soft drinks, like those Jones Sodas. Maybe try LeBlanc's Frais Marche?

Well now I'm just confused and feel like a total retard. Basically I'm trying to make a moscow mule and always thought ginger beer was alcoholic.

Nah chief, but there are alcoholic ginger beers.

Moscow mules get the alcohol from the vodka

I thought it was too, and I was also embarrassed to find out it was as close to alcohol as root beer. I searched high and low in Rouses beer section.

Bahaha I've been in every grocery store beer aisle in Galvez slowly looking through every damn beer with no results. Glad I'm not the only one.

Have had that. The taste is noticeably different between the one I posted and Left Hand's Beer.

It's not in Ascension parish, but World Market (Siegen and I10) carries Bundaberg brand. That is probably my favorite for a moscow mule.

Leblancs in Zachary has it, so I'm sure frais marche will too. They sell individual 12oz bottles of Goya. It's in the ethnic foods section.

Gosling's is what you're supposed to use for a Dark and Stormy. Although shite, I used Fentimans because that's what I found at Fresh Market.

Our liquor stores carry it up here, not the grocery stores. Natural food stores have it as well. As someone else said, Goslings is the traditional for a dark and stormy. We use Barrett's most of the time.

In a pinch, you could make a ginger simple syrup and use soda water.

Gosling's and Fentiman's are pretty close. Both pretty spicy. I like the sweet stuff for my mules.
